South Heart Rail Terminal
The South Hart Rail Terminal (“SHRT”) a $70 plus million world class multi-purpose rail transloading facility on property currently owned or controlled by GNPD (Great Northern Project Development L.P. (GNPD) and Watco Companies (Watco).
Construct a rail facility in support of GNPD’s S. Heart Project and GTL Energy’s Coal beneficiation facility.
Will have the capability to handle multiple unit trains with bi-directional capabilities with east
& west bound switches.
Located approximately 5 miles west of South Heart, North Dakota (see Exhibit 4).
SHRT will provide national railroad network conductivity to Burlington Northern Santa Fe’s (BNSF) southern North Dakota main rail line.
SHRT will have the capability to receive and transfer load (rail to truck) multiple unit trains (100+ cars of the same load) of:
Dry bulk materials such as fracking proppants (both natural and manufactured);
Coal (both inbound and outbound);
Products from the South Heart Project;
Aggregate for road construction and maintenance;
Receive and transload manifest (less than unit train) rail shipments of drill pipe and oil and gas production pipe, industrial products, building products, and diesel fuel;
Receive and load other oilfield products;
Provide covered and uncovered storage for various products;
Provide rail tank car repair, retrofit, and rail car certification service;
Provide temporary and long-term railcar storage.
